St William's has become a Mini-Vinnie school!
Mini-Vinnie groups are set up in Catholic primary schools, and carry out good deeds in helping the needy within school, the local community and the wider world. Mini Vinnies follow the pattern of see-think-do. They see who needs help in the world, think about how they can help and then do something about it. Their mission is to turn concern into action.
When we spoke to the children about the idea, we had such a tremendous response to the proposition, and it was clear that our children were keen to join the programme. We held appointed committee members, after receiving application forms from over 30 children! It was inspiring to see that the children were eager to convey their passion for helping others, and how their own faith drove them on.
