Remembrance Sunday

Thank You to….Oliwia, Alex, Oliver, & Jeremiah, Mrs Sandhu, Mr Clayton and the children’s Mums who also joined us for this very important commemoration. I was extremely proud of you all for representing St. William’s in such a dignified manner.   It was a wonderful occasion to stand alongside other members of our City to show our respect and gratitude to those who died; to providing us with the peace we enjoy today. Miss Nazir and Mrs Meg, from The Schools Linking Project invited us to participate in this special day.  Mrs Meg had worked with Year 4 to produce the beautiful wreath that was laid at the cenotaph.  Our pupils learned about those soldiers who gave their lives in the various wars that have been fought.  

The children have a book of Remembrance.   We continue to pray for all those who have died because we believe that the ties of friendship and love, which knit us as one, throughout our lives do not unravel with death. Eternal rest, grant unto them, O Lord;

and let perpetual light shine upon them.

May the souls of all the faithful departed,

through the mercy of God, rest in peace.
